Why it matters

Who installs it decides your warranty

Lots of people install heat pumps around here without any papers. Many manufacturers only honour their warranty when the system goes in by a qualified technician, so a cheap install can cost you a lot more later.

We hold the Red Seal for heating, refrigeration and air conditioning, the national standard for the trade. Your system is sized, installed and handled the way the manufacturer requires.

Heat pump cleaning

Here’s what’s hiding in yours

Costs less to run

Grime on the coil and barrel fan makes the system work harder. Clean, it moves heat evenly on less power.

Lasts longer

A dirty unit wears out faster and can fail, from broken-down compressor oil to acid burnout.

Healthier air

The warm, damp inside of a heat pump grows mold and bacteria. We clean and sanitize it.

    FAQ

    Good questions

Straight answers. Call 902 317 5044 if yours isn’t here.

Does a heat pump really work in a Cape Breton winter?

Yes. Modern cold-climate heat pumps keep heating well below freezing. The key is picking the right model and sizing it for your home, which is part of every estimate we do.

Can an uncertified install void my warranty?

It can. Many manufacturers require installation by a qualified technician for the warranty to apply. We’re Red Seal certified in HVAC/R and install to the maker’s specs, so your warranty stays protected.

Can a heat pump replace my oil or electric heat?

Yes, and it’s a big part of what we do. A ducted heat pump can run through your existing ductwork, and ductless mini-splits are a great fit for homes with baseboard heat. We’ll recommend what suits your house.

Do you help with Efficiency Nova Scotia rebates?

Yes. We’ll walk you through the rebate and help with the paperwork. Amounts and eligibility are set by Efficiency Nova Scotia.

How often should my heat pump be cleaned?

At least once a year. A proper cleaning covers the coil, barrel fan and drain tray, not just the filter, and keeps the unit efficient and healthy.

    Are estimates really free?

Yes. We’ll come out, look at your home and give you a clear written price with no pressure.
