FAQ
Good questions
Straight answers. Call 902 317 5044 if yours isn’t here.
How many heads do I need?
It depends on your layout and how open your home is. We’ll look at your house and recommend the right number during the estimate.
Can one outdoor unit run several rooms?
Yes. A multi-zone system runs several indoor heads from one outdoor unit.
How often should a mini-split be cleaned?
At least once a year. We clean the coil, barrel fan and drain tray, not just the filter.

Why it matters
Who installs it decides your warranty
Lots of people install heat pumps around here without any papers. Many manufacturers only honour their warranty when the system goes in by a qualified technician, so a cheap install can cost you a lot more later.
We hold the Red Seal for heating, refrigeration and air conditioning, the national standard for the trade. Your system is sized, installed and handled the way the manufacturer requires.
Efficiency Nova Scotia rebates
Switch to a heat pump. We’ll help with the rebate.
Moving off oil, electric baseboard or an old forced-air system? Efficiency Nova Scotia offers rebates on qualifying heat pumps, and we’ll help you sort out the paperwork.
Rebate amounts and eligibility are set by Efficiency Nova Scotia.
