What’s included
Done properly, start to finish
With a dirty evaporator coil your system works harder than it needs to, and a barrel fan caked with dust moves less air and heats unevenly. A proper cleaning fixes both, and keeps mold and bacteria out of the air you breathe.
- Cover and filters removed and washed
- Evaporator coil cleaned and sanitized
- Barrel fan cleaned
- Drain tray and line cleared and sanitized
- Outdoor unit checked
- Everything tested before we leave

Why it matters
What you get
Energy efficient
A clean coil transfers heat easily, so the system uses less power.
Cost effective
Regular cleaning helps prevent compressor wear, acid burnout and early failure.
Health enhancing
No mold or bacteria growing in the coil and condensation tray.

Heat pump cleaning
Here’s what’s hiding in yours
Grime on the coil and barrel fan makes the system work harder. Clean, it moves heat evenly on less power.
A dirty unit wears out faster and can fail, from broken-down compressor oil to acid burnout.
The warm, damp inside of a heat pump grows mold and bacteria. We clean and sanitize it.
FAQ
Good questions
Straight answers. Call 902 317 5044 if yours isn’t here.
How often should my heat pump be cleaned?
At least once a year. Homes with pets or allergies may want it more often.
Will it make a mess?
No. We use a cleaning bag that catches the water and grime, and we clean up before we leave.
Do you clean air exchangers too?
Yes. See air exchangers.

Why it matters
Who installs it decides your warranty
Lots of people install heat pumps around here without any papers. Many manufacturers only honour their warranty when the system goes in by a qualified technician, so a cheap install can cost you a lot more later.
We hold the Red Seal for heating, refrigeration and air conditioning, the national standard for the trade. Your system is sized, installed and handled the way the manufacturer requires.
How it works

Done right
Installed or fixed to the manufacturer’s specs by a Red Seal certified technician.
Tested and kept up
We test it before we leave, and a yearly cleaning keeps it that way.
